  • 360g(4 cups) rolled oats
  • 80g (2/3 cup) pecans, coarsely chopped
  • 80g (2/3 cup) pepitas
  • 80g (2/3 cup) sunflower seeds
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup (125ml) maple syrup
  • 70g (1 cup) dried apple, coarsely chopped
  • 50g (1/3 cup) dried cranberries or goji berries

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°
  2. Combine oats, pecans, seed mix and cinnamon in a mixing bowl – don’t add the apple, cranberries or goji berries at this step otherwise they may burn when in the oven
  3. Add maple syrup and stir until the oats and seed are well coated
  4. Spread onto a baking tray and cook for 20-25 minutes or until golden, stirring often.  You may have to cook in two batches if you don’t have a tray that is big enough to spread all the ingredients out onto one
  5. Cool completely
  6. Add the apple and cranberries, then store in an airtight container
  7. Serve with milk of choice or eat as a nibbly snack

*     To make gluten-free ensure oats are from a reputable company and grown in either California or Scotland

*     To make this granola FODMAP friendly you would need to omit the dried apple and dried cranberries/Goji berries
